Hillsdale Chargers senior captain offensive lineman Jared Veldheer was named recently named a preseason Second-Team All-American by the Consensus Draft Services Web site.
Since I got here nearly two years ago head coach Keith Otterbein has reitterated time and again that Veldheer is a legitimate pro prospect, with NFL size, speed and strength.
So far I can’t argue his glowing reviews from what I’ve seen, and I do know that pro scouts have seen him play several times.
I just happened to run across this video of Veldheer. He clean lifts 425 about as easily as I pick up the Lucky Charms box in the morn — and for your information I’ve dropped the darn thing a few times.
Anyways, another summer and a progressively impressive senior year and this kid will be all over pro scouts’ radars.
